Since 2011, I’ve been a Front End Web Developer and Designer at West Marine, the worlds top boating retailer. West Marine is a fast paced work environment with over 100,000 water life products on our ecommerce site. I’m responsible for everything from coding mobile friendly responsive UX to design graphics, landing pages, emails, and social media events. I build rock solid HTML, CSS, Javascript, JQuery, code that is compatible with all browsers, mobile phones, and tablets.
Graphic Designer and Front End Web Developer – I design and build responsive mobile friendly web pages for a major eCommerce retailer, West Marine. Using HTML5, CSS, and Javascript I code rock solid templates for our team which we use to conduct email campaigns and social media driven marketing events. My duties also include designing digital pieces and banners in Adobe Creative Cloud and collaborating with the print team.
I am looking for a full time or part position as a Senior Web Developer or Tech Consultant for an energetic Santa Cruz / Bay Area company. I’m currently employed at West Marine, the world’s largest boating retailer, where I’ve worked for the last two years as a Front End Web Developer. I code the user experience on this enterprise level IBM ecommerce site with over 65,000 products. I create optimized HTML, CSS, Javascript, and JQuery compatible with all browsers, mobile phones, and tablets. I’ve been working with an industry leader marketing team to implement best practices in Search Engine Optimization (SEO) throughout our site. I also collaborate with other developers using careful version control (CVS) and a meticulous release process.
